Publication Charges and Reprints for Physical Review

To help defray editorial and production expenses, authors of manuscripts that are not submitted in acceptable electronic format are expected to pay a publication charge of $1365/article, $850/Rapid Communication or Brief Report, $310/Comment or Reply. Acceptable formats are REVTeX (preferred), LaTeX, plain TeX, MS Word; PostScript figures (preferred). Upon acceptance, authors will receive a unique link to the Copyright Clearance Center's (CCC) RightsLink system. APS has partnered with CCC to provide our authors with an online, web-based interface, RightsLink, to pay for various author charges, including applicable publication charges. Charges for color figures [1] and reprints [2] are separate from these publication charges.
