Phys. Rev. C 75, 064903 (2007) [6 pages]J/ψ absorption by nucleons in the meson-exchange modelReceived 1 March 2007; published 6 June 2007 We reinvestigate the J/ψ dissociation processes induced by the reactions with nucleons, J/ψ+N→D̅ (*)+Λc, in the meson-exchange model. Main constraints used in this work are vector-meson dominance and charm vector-current conservation. We show that the cross section for J/ψ+N→D̅ +Λc can be larger than that for J/ψ+N→D̅ *+Λc when these constraints are imposed. The dependence of the cross sections on the coupling constants is analyzed in detail, and the comparison with the recent quark-interchange model predictions is also made. © 2007 The American Physical Society URL:
