We present continuum random phase approximation (CRPA) calculations for neutral-current neutrino scattering off 208Pb. These reactions are of interest for the terrestrial detection of supernova neutrinos. We fold the computed cross sections with a Fermi-Dirac distribution to obtain information about these processes and examine the dependence of the response on the spectrum parameters. The experimental interest in neutron knockout induced by neutrino interactions on 208Pb motivated an analysis of the CRPA branching ratios and single-particle knockout channels. We investigate the role of the single-particle wave functions and the residual interaction for the response. We compare our cross sections with previous work.
