Dipole and electric quadrupole excitations in 32S up to 9.9 MeV

Real photon scattering experiments have been performed on the N=Z nucleus 32S to investigate energies and absolute strengths of dipole and electric quadrupole excitations up to a maximum energy of Ex=9.9MeV. Evidence for a 2+⊗3- two-phonon state, which is well established in heavier nuclei, is discussed.
