Phys. Rev. C 62, 024320 (2000) [5 pages]Asymptotic normalization coefficients for 14N↔13C+p from 13C(3He,d)14NReceived 10 March 2000; published 25 July 2000 The 13C(3He,d)14N proton transfer reaction has been measured at an incident energy of 26.3 MeV. Angular distributions for proton transfer to the ground state and excited states at 2.313 and 3.948 MeV in 14N are analyzed within the framework of the modified DWBA. Asymptotic normalization coefficients (ANC’s) defining the amplitude of the tails of the 14N bound-state wave functions in the 13C+p channel are extracted that are in excellent agreement with values found previously with the 13C(14N,13C)14N reaction. We conclude that Cp1/22=18.2(9) fm-1 and Cp3/22=0.91(14) fm-1 for the virtual decay 14N(g.s.)13C+p. These are necessary for the analysis of the 14N(7Be,8B)13C and 14N(11C,12N)13C reactions to extract the ANC’s for 7Be+p8B and 11C+p12N, which determine the direct radiative capture cross sections 7Be(p,γ)8B and 11C(p,γ)12N at astrophysical energies. © 2000 The American Physical Society URL:
