Double-Λ, twin-Λ, and single-Λ hypernuclear productions for stopped Ξ- particles in 12C

The production rates per Ξ via the 12C+Ξ--atomic states are investigated for the ΛΛ12Be+p, ΛΛ12B+n, ΛΛ11Be+d, ΛΛ10Be+t, ΛΛ9Li+α, ΛΛ6He+7Li, ΛΛ5H+8Be, Λ9Be+Λ4H, Λ8Li+Λ5He, and Λ12B+Λ channels (including their excited channels) within the frame of the doorway double-Λ hypernuclear picture (direct reaction picture). We found that in the stopped Ξ- reaction (1) the excited double-Λ hypernuclear states for ΛΛ12B, ΛΛ12Be, and ΛΛ11Be are produced more strongly than other double-Λ hypernuclei, and (2) the production rates per Ξ depend considerably on the atomic orbital angular momentum of the Ξ- particle absorbed into nuclei. The calculated production rates per Ξ are discussed in comparison with the KEK-E176 experimental data.
