High-spin states in the odd-odd nucleus 76Br were populated with two different reactions: 63Cu(16O,n2p) and 63Cu(19F,αpn). The Pitt multidetector array was used to collect γ-γ coincidence data. The level scheme has been extended considerably. The features of the level scheme, particularly the signature inversions in the yrast band, are compared to the results of cranked Woods-Saxon shell-model calculations with self-consistent pairing.
