Phys. Rev. C 16, 160–166 (1977)Absolute cross sections and isomeric cross-section ratios for the 148Nd(d,2n), 148Nd(p,n), and 146Nd(α,pn) reactions producing the isomeric pair 148Pmm,gReceived 27 October 1976; published in the issue dated July 1977 Excitation functions and isomeric cross-section ratios were determined for the 148Nd(d,2n), 148Nd(p,n), and 146Nd(α,pn) reactions producing the isomeric pair 148Pmm,g. The experimental isomer ratios of 41.3-day 148Pmm (6-) and 5.37-day 148Pmg (1-) were compared with statistical model calculations wherein spin cutoff parameters μ were obtained assuming that σ is either independent or varying with excitation energy. The spin cutoff parameters and the effective moments of inertia deduced from these calculations were σ=4.2 and θ=0.70θr, respectively, for the reaction 148Nd(p,n) 148Pmm,g, and σ=3.9 and θ=0.65θr, respectively, for the reaction 148Nd(d,2n) 148Pmm,g. [NUCLEAR REACTIONS 148Nd(p,n), (d,2n), 146Nd(α,pn), EP=9-45 MeV, Ed=6.5-52 MeV, Eα=29-59 MeV; measured σ(E), isomer ratio; deduced spin cutoff parameter, moment of inertia.] © 1977 The American Physical Society URL:
